This course will provide an in-depth format of clinical therapy for effective disease control periodontal therapy, including the most effective use of periodontal universal and Gracey curettes, specialized Gracey curettes, magnetostrictive and piezoelectric ultrasonic instrumentation, the use of air polishing, and when to best utilize it. A sequence for mechanical non-surgical periodontal and peri-implant therapy will be provided. The adjunctive use of local and systemic medications will be discussed. The course will conclude with a comprehensive discussion of what can be accomplished with non-surgical periodontal/peri-implant therapy.
